Early reader for today's boys and girls. Bushido, the Japanese warrior code, is a system of ethics common to all religions and societies. In its simplest form, the code of the warrior is used in this book to teach ethics to the young using a ninja character named Issun-Boshi (Japanese folktale character). We adopted Issun-Boshi, who is only 1.2 inches tall, in a series of books designed to relate to today's children. As a teacher of first grade, I became frustrated when searching for books for children who were having a difficult time learning to read. This book is designed for such children.
